Performance Hub connects the cameras, doors, sensors and screens inside your buildings to AI that can see, understand and act on what is happening in real time. That is a serious responsibility, and it is one we designed for from the start, not bolted on afterwards.

Most platforms ask you to hand them your data and trust that they look after it. Performance Hub takes an edge-first approach instead. We keep processing and sensitive workloads on hardware at your facility where practical, while the cloud platform stores and manages the account data, metadata, logs, backups, footage and services needed to operate the platform. That cloud data remains scoped to your account, governed by your access controls, and stored in the regions you configure where regional storage applies.

This Trust Centre sets out, in detail, how the platform handles your data, how it is secured, how privacy and AI are governed, and exactly where our responsibility ends and yours begins. It is written to be verified: every claim here is backed by the product documentation it links to.

Edge-first, not edge-only. We keep data and processing at your facility where practical, and use controlled cloud services where the platform needs them.

Four pillars of trust.

Security.

Edge-first architecture: sensitive workloads are processed on your appliance where practical, while cloud services provide the account, metadata, storage and management layers. The appliance opens its own connections outbound, so there are no inbound ports or firewall holes to open, credentials are short-lived, and access is enforced centrally.

Privacy & compliance.

Your data is yours. It is not shared with other customers, not used by us to train AI models, and held to a global privacy posture that meets GDPR, US state privacy laws and the Australian Privacy Principles. You choose the storage region. Built on independently certified infrastructure.

Responsible AI.

You decide which AI models touch your data, right down to keeping sensitive data on site with private inference. We never train on your data, and we opt out of provider training on every request we make on your behalf. AI actions are attributable and human-confirmed.

Physical-world data.

Video, people analytics and facial recognition are governed with the same rigour: facial collections isolated per facility by default (with optional organisation-configured cross-facility access for multi-site deployments), opt-in per camera, pseudonymous by default, and deletion you control. Lawful operation is in your hands, with the controls to do it properly.

Built on certified infrastructure.

Performance Hub runs on independently certified cloud and edge infrastructure: Amazon Web Services, Wasabi, and Balena. These providers hold the major security and privacy certifications (including ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2), so the foundation your deployment runs on is independently audited, not just asserted by us.

We are precise about this: those certifications belong to the infrastructure providers. Performance Hub's own security controls, documented throughout this Trust Centre, operate on top of that certified foundation.
